I’ve lived with 7 kids in 1,700 square feet and learned a thing or two in the process.*
I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed by the clutter and circus that is living with kids. I know what it's like to need every space in your home to work hard and be flexible. I know what it's like to be distracted by the Pinterest dream home.
Seriously, I get it. I’ve been in that place where all I needed was a good shove and the right paint color to make change. I’m just guessing that’s where you are or you wouldn’t be surfing the internet for design inspiration right this minute.
You need to get started. You want to make your house beautiful and functional and get rid of distraction so that you can focus on the fantastic business of being a family. I can help you do that.
And just so you know that there’s a human running this show, here are a few things about me:
I’m a list-maker, instigator, homework enforcer, recovering perfectionist, and always have more ideas than time. I love paper stores, the beach, bakeries, a good run, magazines, dinner with the whole family, singing loud and off-key with the car windows down, finding the perfect color, Christmas, people watching, and dancing in the kitchen. I don’t love red interiors, tchotchkes, or meal planning. Oh, yeah. And I’m mom/step-mom to a fairly large blended family. I do, in fact, feel at times like I live in a circus and, more importantly, I have mostly learned to embrace it.
I also really like to chat. Did I mention that? Let’s chat and see what we can do together.
*Oh, and P.S.? All that fitting it in and making it work at home took me back to school to learn the “rules” of interior design. I earned a Basic Interior Design Certificate from New York School of Interior Design in July 2017.
