I’m one of those people who thinks that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we don’t know what the reason is or we forget that there might be one, but if you are paying attention, the reason will surface.
I went to the doctor yesterday with that crud that has been going around. The only available appointment was with my kids’ physician, who is the kind of doctor that I didn’t think existed anymore. He calls at 8 o’clock at night to make sure the kids are ok. He believes in a balance of science and faith. He uses both western and eastern medicinal practices.
Hanging in the check-up room was the eighth verse of the Tao Te Ching. I do not know what translation this particular version was, and there are many. But it was this one that I needed to read.
