time to craft
Have I mentioned that I like to do a little craft from time to time? I know I’ve mentioned that I am a total sucker for paper. And there are no paper stores to speak of where I live. So last week, when I needed (for ridiculous reasons) to spend an entire day by myself in Salt Lake City (what!? a whole day to yourself!?), I hit some paper stores. Of course, I had to go to Paper Source. What self-respecting crafter doesn’t go there when presented with the opportunity? I picked up a couple of little things (like this lace ribbon and some cute letterpress mini cards for lunch boxes). But the real winner of the day was finding Paper Creations.
Let me just say that this was not exactly my kind of scrapbook store. Most aren’t (but if you are ever in St. Petersburg, Florida, you must go to Whim So Doodle - weird name but an amazing store). However, I stumbled upon a rack of paper from a company that I love and that has been out of business for years (Sassafras Lass). Total score. Best $20 I’ve spent in a long time.
And this is what I made.
I took a big long break from Project Life during the holidays. Just too much going on and I couldn’t get myself to simplify the process. So I am forcing myself into smaller space. Printing fewer photos. Trying to carve out the time for a small amount of creativity if nothing else. At least until I’m caught up.
