I’ve been hoarding craft ideas for the kids on Pinterest. You know how it is. Someday, I should totally make this with the kids. Then you forget and are reminded when you pin the same thing again. My youngest daughter is on to me. She’s started nagging me about making things. I literally can’t say “we could make that” or “we should make this” without her harassing me until we do. And so it was when the recent Paper Source catalog arrived in the mail with an adorable paper watermelon banner on the front cover.

I think it has been about a hundred years since I posted about fun finds from Instagram or Project Life updates. It has been at least a hundred years since I have actually done any work on Project Life. I am so far behind that normal people would just give up. No disrespect to Tammy Wynette, but I’m not sure that standing by your man is the hardest thing about being a woman. The hardest thing? Personal upkeep. The expectations of what a woman needs to do every day are out of control. And I’m not even talking about sweeping the floors, doing the shopping, making three squares, doing the laundry, helping with homework, and walking the dog. I’m talking about looking like a member of the human race.

Forever and a day ago (ok, three weeks ago maybe?), I mentioned that I was taking a kids’ nutrition class online. Total fail. I somehow managed to miss every single piece of the class. I’ve saved the podcasts so that I can listen to them, and have intended for two weeks now to get caught up, but I haven’t. You are just going to have to wait on that piece of review. dressing for disneyland: belle (the teen version)

When we left off on Tuesday,  Mom and I had finished gussying up a basic Old Navy knit dress for Théa's Belle costume. Abby's costume was a little more involved in that I was unable to find a yellow dress for women that was anywhere near cute. Or anywhere near something that Abby would actually put on. I know, I know. She's willing to dress like a princess to go to Disneyland, but really, she's most comfortable in a t-shirt and shorts. So that's what we found.
