the menu: week of october 5
I'm pretty excited to be walking with my mom in her first 10K race in a million years tomorrow. Yep, that's me in the photo during our first race together. Tomorrow, we will be walking the greenbelt in Boise in preparation for our trip to Orlando in February to run/walk the Disney Princess Half Marathon. Costumes are in the works, people. Running costumes. Are you ready for that?
After the race, my husband and I are leaving for a long weekend in a secret, remote location without our children. Kids, we love you. Have fun with GG and Bobby.
We will be back on Wednesday, just in time for the beginning of the Trailing of the Sheep Festival. If you are within driving distance, and like lamb, get yourself over to Sun Valley next weekend and be ready to eat. I will not be cooking much during the later half of the week because there are ample opportunities during this festival to eat things that we never get. Hopefully we will also make it to the sheep dog trials this year. Sounds like fun, no?
While I'm out, why don't you just amuse yourself with one of my first weekly menu posts from almost one year ago. This one is good and so is this one. Or you can check out a few tried and true recipes here. Have a great week!
